Kelsey Barth is currently a senior at Nebraska Wesleyan University receiving a Bachelors degree in Vocal Music Education. At Wesleyan, Kelsey has been involved in University Choir and the opera department. With University Choir, Kelsey has performed: the inauguration of President Fredrick Ohles of NWU, Bach's St. Matthew Passion, the 35th year anniversary of choral director Dr. William A. Wyman, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, 4 national tours, and will travel to Estonia and Sweden in May of 2011. With the opera department she has oerformed various scenes from Cosi fan tutte, The Tales of Hoffmann, Nabucco, Turandot, The Pirates of Penzance, The Marriage of Figaro, The Mikado, The True Story of Cinderella, The Magic Flute, and Candide. Kelsey has also had the opportunity to perform in the opera productions of Die Fledermaus in 2008 and Hansel and Gretel in 2010. Kelsey is also involved in the music honorary Mu Phi Epsilon and MENC. In her spare time, Kelsey teaches paino to students in both Hamlow Elementary and the Intermediate Schools in Waverly, Nebraska. |
